memory _DS

I regret to inform you about the death of Ewa Dorota Sobolta, the president of the Polish Briard and Beauceron Club. We have worked with Dorota for 25 years, I appreciate that it was given to us to meet her not only as the Chairperson but as an interesting and unconventional person.
'Ewa Dorota Sobolta was the founder and chairwoman of the Club from 1995, MA in clinical psychology at the University of Lodz, a long-term international dog show judge for dogs from Group 1 FCI (except German Shepherds), a briard breeder with the nickname 'Variete' in the years 1986 – 2000.
Ewa D. Sobolta was a member of the Polish Kennel Club - Lodz Branch from April 1, 1982, and in years 1983-1998 acted as a member of the Branch Presidium. In later years she gave up her candidacy and devoted herself entirely to the Club. She published many articles on cynology in the specialist press, in the years 1982-1998 she was one of the main organizers of Lodz dog shows (including all international ones), she wrote catalogs and division syllabuses, she also wrote a monography about briards in 1994, reedited in 1997 (in the "Hobby" series). She is the author of the first brochures about briards published thanks to her own efforts in the late 1980s and again in 1993. She was also the founder and editor of the "Psy i my" (“Dogs and us”) quarterly in the years 1999-2001. She was also the vice-chairman of the Non-Polish Shepherd Dogs Club from the beginning of its existence '.

Dorota was a cynologist with all her heart and above all she was a warm, helpful person with an amazing sense of humor. Devoted to briards for the rest of their lives. Over the years, we have admired her passion for this wonderful race and knowledge that no one can match. Invaluable ...
Rest in peace ...

Iza and Jarek Pintera
